Gilded Bookplate Sticker - Set of 3

Bookplates were first used in the 16th century to show ownership history of a book, and were sometimes incredibly intricate ink drawings. Today, you can use a sticker in the front pages of your books to personalise your own collection. Simply add your name in the blank space, and enjoy an extra decorative touch each time you read.

This design was inspired by an intricate lock found on an antique set of drawers found in the Wallace Collection museum, London, and features the Latin phrase 'Ex Libris' (meaning: from the library of".

Hand drawn and printed on beautifully textured, antique cream paper with adhesive backing.
